The Ephorate of Antiquities of Elis participated in the organization of the anniversary event “Green Cultural Routes 2025” which is organized by the Department of Educational Programs and Communication of the Directorate of Archaeological Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programs of the Ministry of Culture with the implementation on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the archaeological site of Elis of a thematic tour entitled:

“The last period of habitation of the capital city of Elis.”

The action aimed to familiarize the public with the unknown period of the early Byzantine years of Elis, the last period of habitation of the ancient city, when an important Christian settlement developed in it.

Thirty-five people from the general public participated in the event, who enthusiastically welcomed this thematic tour, which was being implemented for the first time. The event was designed and implemented by archaeologists Athanasia Ralli and Tonia Mourtzini.
